Christian Park School #82 is a community centered public school, located in Christian Park on English Avenue in Indianapolis. A magnificent renovation took place during the 2008-2009 school year.  Each room has been redone with new cabinets, technology, air conditioning, furniture, flooring, and much more.  Also, a new wing was added to the west side of the building which houses Kindergarten, second grade, a two story gym with a stage, music room, and cafeteria. 

As a K-6 school with a student population of just over 389 children, our educational program is challenging and rigorous. We strive to provide the new basic skills of the 21st century to our students. Opportunities to access technology and develop critical thinking skills enhance instruction in Reading, Writing, Arithmetic and Science-- equipping our children with the educational foundation they need to be successful in future years.

The Colonial Revival style building was built in 1931 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  The building contains such elements as paired end chimneys, quoins, broken pediments, roof balustrades and an Adamesque-inspired copula.  The building is well maintained, with Internet enabled computers,  telephones & digital TVs in every classroom.  We also have a distance learning site in our Media Center.

We have many exciting learning opportunities & student incentive programs; such as the Super Readers,  Good Work Assembly, Super Lion Lunch Bunch, Field Trips, Santa Shop, Book Fair, Spelling Bee, Easter Activities and the Honor Roll Banquet.  We also have a very supportive and active Parent Group (PTO) which fund many of these special activities.
